Welcome to the website of an e-learning course on the European Union for teachers and trainers The European Union and its citizens. The course is being developed in the framework of Grundtvig project E-EdUcAtED (E-learning on EU – Adult Education for Teachers) funded with the support from the European Commission.
The first version of this course was completed in September 2009 and was tested during a workshop in Barcelona in the beginning of October 2009. The course text will now be revised and consolidated according to the comments from the teachers and trainers who participated in the workshop. The final texts will be ready in February 2010.
The writers of the texts come from the countries of participating institutions, and they specialise in their topics. The challenge of this course has been to transform their knowledge into texts that are at the same time professional, easy-to-read, interesting and interactive.
The resulting course will be translated into the languages of all project partners. It can then be offered to its target group - the secondary school teachers, and adult and vocational trainers. It will serve as their first guide in the European Union matters.
We hope that completing this course will make the teachers interested in the EU and introduce the EU to their students, and using the opportunities that EU offers – be it mobility, or international cooperation projects.
